The article explores why electronic warfare remains undervalued among European defence startups despite its critical and growing role in the Russia–Ukraine war. Analysis by Ukrainian venture capital fund D3 found that only around 7% of more than 700 EU and Ukrainian startups were working on technologies involving the electromagnetic spectrum — far fewer than the 31% developing drones or 22% working on other hardware.
"Demand for what our system does is high, as is investor interest," Panop founder Rhys Kissell told Table.Briefings. "Europe is rearming and making significant investments to do so. And Berlin puts us far closer to Ukraine, where the problems we're solving are actually being faced every day."
