PlatypOS selected for ASCA’s Resilient Command and Control Pitch Day

Panop has been invited to pitch PlatypOS at the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator’s (ASCA) Resilient Command and Control Pitch Day. It is one of 14 companies selected to present to senior Defence officials in Adelaide.

The Pitch Day is the culmination of ASCA’s Resilient Command and Control (RC2) mission, a Request for Information seeking innovations against three challenge statements:

  • Operating in denied, degraded, intermittent and limited (DDIL) environments
  • Protecting and ensuring resilient command and control (C2) capabilities
  • Recovery of degraded C2 networks

PlatypOS is Panop’s answer to all three. It does not protect someone else’s command and control. PlatypOS is the command and control: a distributed C2 system in which every node is both a C2 node and an electronic warfare node. The network is designed to be hard to kill. No single node is essential to keeping the force in command.

The 14 presenters span Australian industry and academia. They include Lockheed Martin Australia, Boeing Defence Australia, Q-CTRL and the Australian National University. ASCA will award prizes to the top pitches at the ADSTAR Summit 2026 Gala Dinner, judged by a panel of senior Defence officials.

“Being recognised by ASCA for the technology we’re building is an honour. Conflicts in Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia have made one thing clear: the electromagnetic spectrum is not a warfighting domain — it is the all-encompassing environment in which sea, land, air, space and cyber exist. Any unit, or commander, who lacks the ability to monitor, protect and contest the spectrum in modern conflict is effectively unarmed.”

— Rhys Kissell, Panop
